How to solve the problem of color temperature drift of LED lamp beads

2022-03-28

We all know that LED lamp beads are the English abbreviation of light-emitting diodes, which is abbreviated as LED, which is a popular name. LED lamp beads are prone to serious color temperature drift problems before and after dispensing, packaging and baking, especially for larger lamp beads, such as 5050, 5730 and other lamp beads.

First of all, we analyze the reasons for the color temperature drift: during the curing process of the encapsulant, due to uneven heating, part of the glue is cured first, which will easily cause the phosphor mixed in the glue to sink and disperse unevenly, resulting in the law of light refraction. Inconsistency causes dispersion phenomenon, which is called color temperature drift.

Then, the method to solve the color temperature drift: Method 1 - use three-stage baking, the first stage is 60°C/1h, the second stage is 110°C/0.5h, the third stage is 150°C/3.0h, and the first stage is baked. Due to the low temperature, the glue reaction is very mild, it will thicken and solidify at the same time, and there will be no problem of curing speed, so that the phosphor is evenly distributed in the glue; Method 2 - if it is two-stage curing, such as 100℃/ 1h+150℃/3h, anti-settling powder can be added to the A glue to prevent uneven powder settlement during the curing process of the glue, thereby avoiding the phenomenon of color temperature drift.

Secondly, it is necessary to know that the normal color temperature range is generally ±10% of the set color temperature. For example, the color temperature range of 3000K is 2700~3300K, and the color temperature range of 6000K is 5400~6600K. Exceeding the above range is regarded as unqualified color temperature.
