I believe that almost everyone has experienced the leakage of LED chip lamp beads, but the causes of leakage are different. The leakage of some SMD lamp beads is caused by the test after the LED lamp beads are packaged, some are generated after a long time of placing, some are generated after aging, and some are generated after welding. What are the reasons for the leakage of LED patch lamp beads?
1. Electric leakage of patch lamp beads caused by improper use rarely occurs. When a higher reverse voltage is applied to the LED lamp bead, the PN junction may be damaged, causing electric leakage.
2. Improper process may lead to chip cracking, uneven colloid at the bottom of the lamp bead chip, or holes under the pad, which may damage the chip during wiring and cause leakage or failure. Improper adjustment of the wire bonder damages the chip, causing leakage or failure.
3. The static electricity problem of patch lamp beads cannot be ignored. Electrostatic discharge should have a conductive circuit, which does not mean that static electricity will cause damage. When there is only a small amount of leakage of LED lamp beads, the problem of accidental static damage can be considered. If it happens in large numbers, it is more likely that the chip is contaminated or stressed.
