A white light LED module is a module that realizes the conversion of light/electricity and electricity/light. It is actually an LED light emitting diode. When a forward voltage is applied, the P region is connected to the positive electrode and the N region is connected to the negative electrode. After being excited by a certain forward voltage, electrons are injected into the N region from the P region and cross the junction region. When electrons recombine with holes in the valence band, light is emitted.

Similarly, when a reverse voltage is applied, that is, the P region is connected to the negative electrode and the N region is connected to the positive electrode. After being excited by the reverse voltage, holes are injected into the P region from the N region. When the holes recombine with electrons on the conduction band, they also emit light.

White LED modules can be divided into two types according to their structure: direct insertion and patch mounting.

Direct insertion refers to the LED module where the LED pins are directly inserted into the circuit board for soldering.

Chip mounting refers to the LED module with LED pins mounted on the circuit board.

It can be further divided into monochrome, bicolor, full color, etc. according to the luminous color.

According to packaging methods, it can be divided into pin type, patch type, and piranha type.

According to the light type, it can be divided into circular, square, rectangular, etc.

According to the usage situation, it can be divided into general and specialized types.
