Traditional organic materials have poor temperature resistance, low thermal conductivity, and UV degradation, making it difficult to meet the packaging requirements of deep ultraviolet LEDs. In recent years, the industry has tried to use inorganic transparent materials such as quartz glass and sapphire to encapsulate deep ultraviolet LED beads.
Heat dissipation substrate materials: LED heat dissipation substrate materials commonly include resin, metal, and ceramic. Both resin and metal substrates have an organic resin insulation layer, which reduces the thermal conductivity of the heat dissipation substrate and affects its heat dissipation performance; Ceramic substrates have many advantages such as high mechanical strength, good insulation, high heat transfer, good temperature resistance, and low thermal expansion coefficient, making them an effective choice for heat dissipation substrates used in deep ultraviolet LED bead packaging.
