What is the principle of light emitting the diodes of ultraviolet light?

UV light diodes refer to a kind of glow diode (LED) that can emit nearly ultraviolet light. Its luminous principle is the same as ordinary glow diodes.


50 years ago, people had understood the basic knowledge of semiconductor materials to produce light. The first commercial diode was born in 1960. LED is an abbreviation of English Light Emitting Diode.


Its basic structure is a semiconductor material of electrostatic glowing, placed on a leading rack, and then seal with epoxy resin around it to protect the internal core wire.


The core part of the light -emitting diode is a chip composed of a P -type semiconductor and N -type semiconductor. When it is in a positive working state (that is, a positive voltage with both ends) and the current flows from LED anode to cathode, semiconductor crystals emit light from different colors from ultraviolet to infrared.
